A Note on Names & Systems
You may still see our former name 08 Beachvolley Club in some registers. The name change to The Beach Volley Club is officially registered with both the Swedish Volleyball Federation and the Swedish Sports Confederation. During the transition, we may still use the domain 08beach.com for some email addresses.
Club History
The club was originally founded in 2006 as Beachhallen BVC, based in Södertälje. In 2016, following the closure of Bromma BVC, a new club was formed to unite members from both Bromma and Beachhallen, under the name 08 Beachvolley Club.
During summers, activities expanded to Gärdet in Stockholm (yes – we were the ones who helped establish those courts with proper sand!), while winter training remained in Södertälje.
Recently, we changed our name to The Beach Volley Club, and moved our headquarters to Huddinge, where we’ve now gathered all our activities under one roof – with 10 indoor courts and 7 outdoor courts at our brand-new beach volleyball facility.
